“SUGAR?! B-b-but you guys claim 0 grams of sugar on your label!”

Time for a quick, simplified fermentation lesson on how to create alcohol:
First, our brewer starts off with water and cane sugar. He then adds a special yeast into the mix (the type of yeast used can greatly affect the flavor!). This is where the magic happens. The entire mix begins to ferment for multiple days and the yeast eats off ALL the sugar, turning into alcohol. At this point, there is a filtration process to clear up any sediment and residue from the yeast, leaving you with a clean, clear base liquid. From that point, everything else gets added into the base like the fruit flavors, juice, etc.

95% of hard seltzer brands in the world follow this process (with their own variations, of course). A large handful of these brands are then adding back in various artificial or natural sweeteners to bring back certain flavor profiles. Depending on what they use, they are still able to claim “0 grams of sugar” (ex. Stevia, monk fruit, erythritol, etc).

We simply felt like we could achieve a great tasting drink without any additional additives.

Our final product truly has 0 grams of sugar!

Well, you probably still think Santa Clause is real, you big goofy.

“Natural flavors” doesn’t have to be a scary, foreign topic like it sometimes is made to be.

First off, let's define what a “natural flavor” is...

In layman terms, natural flavors are made by using different types of natural ingredients to create a certain flavor profile.

Longer definition for the overachievers:
“Natural flavor” can refer to anything that comes from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf—yes, we’re still going—meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or anything fermented from those foods, according to Food and Drug Administration spokesperson Deborah Kotz.”

How we like to imagine it is:
Let's say you are given a limited number of paints, but need to make other colors. You mix the paints together to get colors that you didn’t originally start with.

In our drink, while most people think that the only way to get the mandarin flavor would be using the “meat” of the fruit, our mandarin flavor extract is created from using multiple parts of the fruit: the pulp, juice, peel, and oils. It’s then distilled down with alcohol, to be placed and stay stable, within an alcoholic beverage.

“Why choose a natural flavor over the real fruit?”

Great question! Using real fruit all year around for certain flavors, isn’t actually sustainable due to seasonality.

For example, in the US, mandarins grow in the Fall and end in the Winter. The ability to sustain a mandarin drink, at scale, across even just a quarter of the United States (let alone the entire country), is impossible.

The companies that claim that are using 100% juice, are generally using various concentrates with other additives and preservatives that you wouldn’t be able to pronounce. It also explains their extremely high sugar content. Labels aren’t always everything ;)

With all that said, we have special plans in the future for limited quantity, fruit-infused drinks. That’s all we can say for now.

“How much is used in every can?”

We prefer a gentle splash of flavor. The amount in a 12-oz can is equivalent to the tear drop that rolls out of your eye when your crush leaves on you “Read”.

4.7% ABV per 12oz can

For perspective, a light beer has between 4-5% and most other hard seltzer brands have an ABV of around 4-5%

We can’t say, but PLEASE drink responsibly. Less is more!

We can’t make any promises! There are so many different factors that create a hangover when consuming alcohol. Stay hydrated (we recommend 1 glass of water between every 12 oz can) and drink responsibly.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and there are 1g of carbs per serving so as long as you’re under your daily limit, yes we are keto friendly as well :)

If we are talking about making delicious mixed drinks / cocktails, then yes, 하드Nectar is perfect for that!

Here is one of our favorite recipes to try:
8 oz of any Nectar flavor
1.5 oz of Soju (original flavor)
1-2 muddle lychee fruit (can be from the can if you don’t have fresh lychee)

We call this one the “Asian Glow”.

If you’re referencing the ability to not get hungover, again, we can’t say as every person is different. Staying hydrated is key :)

If purchased in a store, please take the damaged product (with as much picture proof as possible) back to the same store within 24 hours. Customers will have to abide by said store’s return policies, as that is out of our control.

We are diligently working on a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model as you read this! Beer, wine, and spirits all have different laws in every state. The way we make our product puts us under the “beer” category. We also produce the product outside of California which creates another “fun” set of obstacles. There are a lot of hoops we have to jump through but we hope to announce our DTC model soon!
